Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions, as may be amended from time to time, apply to all Hotel Gift services directly or indirectly made available online, through any device, or by email. By using the Hotel Gift website or any other platform you acknowledge and agree to have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions set out below.
1. Scope and Role of Hotel Gift
Through the website www.hotelgift.com we (Hotel Gift and its affiliate (distribution) partners) provide an online platform through which bookings can be made for various types of temporary accommodation.
From the point at which you make your booking, Hotel Gift acts solely as an intermediary between you and the accommodation provider as Hotel Gift doesn’t sell temporary accommodation under its own name. Hotel Gift transmits the details of your reservation to the relevant accommodation provider and sends you a confirmation email on behalf of the accommodation provider.
2. Reliance on Third Party Information and Services
When rendering our services, the information that we disclose is based on the information provided to us by accommodation providers. Although we will use reasonable skill and care in performing our services we will not verify if, and cannot guarantee that, all information is accurate, complete or correct, nor can we be held responsible for any errors (including manifest and typographical errors), any interruptions (whether due to any temporary and/or partial breakdown, repair, upgrade or maintenance of our website or otherwise), inaccurate, misleading or untrue information or non-delivery of information.
3. Privacy and Cookies
The privacy of all Hotel Gift users is respected. For more information about this, please see Privacy and Cookies in the footer of the Hotel Gift website.
4. Payment and Prices
Payments are immediately due when ordering. Payments can be made by Visa, MasterCard, American Express and available local payment methods. All Hotel Gift payment processes are properly secured. Payments (pending) cannot be amended or cancelled.
All hotel prices on www.hotelgift.com are displayed including VAT and other taxes, unless stated differently on our website or the confirmation email. The gift cards of Hotel Gift are not subject to VAT.
Business orders are generally settled by invoice payment. Orders to be paid via invoice are sent within two business days. Please note that the Hotel Gifts will only be activated once the order payment has been made. Please contact us for questions or special requests.
5. Loss and Theft of a Hotel Gift
If your Hotel Gift is lost or stolen, email us immediately. You must provide your name, email address and the original invoice that was emailed to the buyer of the Hotel Gift. Provided the Hotel Gift has not already been redeemed and has not expired yet, we will deactivate the lost or stolen Hotel Gift and give you a new Hotel Gift with the original expiry date.
Please note that you have to agree to provide all reasonable information and assistance to help make a complete investigation of the loss or theft of the Hotel Gift.
6. Validity of a Hotel Gift
All Hotel Gifts are valid indefinitely.
Hotel Gift reserves the right to block / deactivate any Hotel Gift of which the payment has been cancelled or not received in any way. In case one or more bookings have been made with a Hotel Gift that has not fully been paid for, Hotel Gift reserves the right to cancel these bookings.
7. Redeem a Hotel Gift
Hotel Gifts are redeemable for all accommodations that show availability at www.hotelgift.com at your selected dates and location. It is not possible to make your booking and redeem your Hotel Gift directly at the hotel. When making a booking at www.hotelgift.com the Hotel Gift value will be deducted from the amount payable. If the Hotel Gift is not used in full at once, the remainder stays valid until the expiration date of the Hotel Gift. If the booking is more expensive than the Hotel Gift, the remainder can be paid for by online payment. Per booking one Hotel Gift can be used.
After the payment and/or redemption of the Hotel Gift you receive the booking confirmation via email. You print this booking confirmation and show it to the receptionist when checking-in at the hotel. Make sure to have your identification with you, as the hotel could request this.
It is not possible to redeem your Hotel Gift for funds / cash payment.
8. Cancel or Modify Booking
Unless specified otherwise when making the booking, the booking can be cancelled free of charge up to 7 (seven) days before the date of arrival. At any later date, cancellation is no longer possible. If you would like to modify your booking, please cancel the original booking and make a new booking.
If the booking can be cancelled, the original Hotel Gift will be reloaded with the full amount of the booking. The original expiry date of the gift card remains. If you wish to review, modify or cancel your reservation please go to ‘my booking’ in the main menu on www.hotelgift.com or send an email.
In the case of a no-show (i.e. remaining absent from the booked accommodation) there will be no refund.
9. Hotel Complaints
If you have complaints about (staying in) the hotel, please contact the hotelier. Hotel Gift is not liable for any claims or complaints about (staying in) the hotel.
10. Further Correspondence
By completing a booking or by ordering a Hotel Gift you agree to receive (i) an email that we may send you prior to your arrival date with information on your destination and reservation and (ii) an email which we may send you after your stay or Hotel Gift order inviting you to complete a feedback form.
11. Intellectual Property
Unless stated otherwise, the intellectual property rights (including the copyrights) of the content, material and information on this website is property of Hotel Gift. Without Hotel Gift’s written consent, no part of this website may be used or reproduced.
Subject to the limitations set out in these terms and conditions and to the extent permitted by law, Hotel Gift shall not be held liable for (i) any punitive, special, direct or indirect or consequential loss or damages, any loss of production, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of contract, loss of or damage to goodwill or reputation, loss of claim, (ii) any inaccuracy relating to the (descriptive) information (including rates, availability and ratings) of the accommodation as made available on our website, (iii) the services rendered or the products offered by the accommodation provider, (iv) any (direct, indirect, consequential or punitive) damages, losses or costs suffered, incurred or paid by you, pursuant to, arising out of or in connection with the use, inability to use or delay of our website, or (v) for any (personal) injury, death, property damage, or other (direct, indirect, special, consequential or punitive) damages, losses or costs suffered, incurred or paid by you, whether due to (legal) acts, errors, breaches, (gross) negligence, willful misconduct, omissions, non-performance, misrepresentations, tort or strict liability by or (wholly or partly) attributable to the accommodation (its employees, directors, officers, agents, representatives or affiliated companies), including any (partial) cancellation, overbooking, strike, force majeure or any other event beyond our control.
13. Legal Entity
Hotel Gift is part of Locada B.V., which is a private limited liability company, incorporated under the laws of the Netherlands. Locada B.V. is registered with the trade register of the Chamber of Commerce under registration number 59310685. Our VAT registration number is NL853416084B01.
14. Governing Law
The Dutch law applies to all our services and products. All rights reserved.
